The purpose of the concert is to showcase and promote the diverse talents of NMMU staff whilst creating a vibrant and interactive work environment. This year`s concert had the participation of the newly appointed service staff from Second Avenue Campus. Their performance was an African traditional medley which is normally sung in Xhosa traditional ceremonies. The concert also included well known performer Tiffany who performed two songs one being her hit song Ja`dore 11th most played song in Africa (on the Entertainment Monitoring Africa List). The song was produced by the late 4our7. Prizes were given to the audience sponsored by Nedbank, Bay catering, NMMU University Shop, South End Boulevard CafĂ©, NMMU Conference Centre Rendezvous and Madibaz. The performers at the concert were NMMU 2nd Ave Choir Solo performances by Dr Frans du Toit & Mr Robert Pearce, Group Item Prof L Athiemoolam, Prof H Glover, Dr M Khau, Ms C Mohamed and Special guest performer Tiffany singing Ja’dore. The concert was well attended and enjoyed by staff and students.
